Hello
my rangers front bumpers sag has seemed to increase over time and now its pretty bad.
I cannot find any up and down adjustment slots in the frame to bumper mounts.
I will attach photos below
Any ideas of how to fix it?
Thank you in advanced

Some of the mounting bolts holes are slotted. You need to loosen all the mounting bolts, reposition the bumper and tighten the bolts. Sometimes you need to get creative with jack stands, blocks of wood, rope, ratchet straps, etc. To hold it while you retighten the bolts if you don't have a good helper

Make sure you support the bumper on the metal parts and not on the plastic valence when you do the adjustments.

Thanks for the response
I could only find 2 bolts to adjust up and down movement, I did so and it helped it out some, took out about a inch of sag but there is still one inch left of sag on the ends, the front of the bumper is pretty snug to the grill now... any way to adjust the “pitch” of the bumper?
Thanks again

Did you loosen all the other bolts so it could pivot as necessary? It’s a little bit like an old style alternator bracket. One bolt hole is slotted. But you can’t make the adjustment without also loosening the pivot bolt.

Has the bumper received any sort of impact across the mid section at all?

a strike will flatten the bar across the front & at the same time alter the wrap around angle at the ends causing them to swing down.

Not in the half a year I’ve owned it, but I am thinking in the past it must had been bumped up front and tilted the bumper frame..,

Need a "bumper bra" for supporting the ol' gal .... ;)

Looks to me like the tires have been pulling on the bumper. Probably need to pull it off and make sure the mounting surfaces ate flat between bumper and truck

The bumpers are fragile, it doesn't take much of a hit to distort them, the two supports that are bolted to the back of the bumper that allow vertical adjustmant are not really heavy enough to withstand a strike either.

I’m having the same problem. Mine appears to be bent but could be an illusion from the sagging. I’m sure the dipstick I bought it from hit something since they took shit care of the truck overall. I don’t want to waste money on a new one. I’ll try the bolt adjustment with Jack and wood block

whoever owned it previously rear-ended someone. you need to replace some stuff in there.

or maybe you can pull it all apart and bend stuff back to shape?

It doesn't take much to make it do that. Loosen the mounting bolts, straighten the bumper, tighten the mounting bolts. Some of the holes are slotted to allow adjustment.

I’m going to take it off and straighten it out and paint it. Tried to bend it up today and it’ll only get so far. Found a new replacement bumper for $140 but I’d rather try and fix this one. I don’t like to waste crap if it can be avoided.
