What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Stayed home cuz my heart was giving me a hard time, after I got back from drs. I just couldn't sit on my ass any longer. So I cleaned the drivers side of cowel out, rust converted inside, and sprayed with bed liner inside. Than I re seam sealed everywhere I had removed the original for surface rust repair. Than I wet sanded and put a second coat on the roof, and dash core, used bed liner to coat the dash cubby turned out really nice. Than I got tired and had to call it a day.

Aired up the tires on the '97, apparently a couple are slightly leaky, took a couple months for one to get to 20psi so not a big deal... also put it up on a couple ramps and welded up the cat heat shield, apparently 6-7 of the welds had failed, mostly the top corners of course, not the easier ones to get to... so I welded by brail, super ugly but is hopefully quieter, was really annoying around 4k rpm...

I haven't even had time to unpack after the trip. Just took the cooler and food out. Then spent the last two days 10 hours each day helping out my wife in a couple newly acquired pizzerias. I have today off so it gets unloaded and a good washing. The amount of dust on the inside is depressing... parked on the dunes... windows down with all the quads doing donuts was a really bad idea.

yeah no kidding lol it is going to take me a weekend to get the dust out of it.

May just unload it and take it to Crew Carwash and let them do the interior for an extra 20 bucks.

Let someone else clean the interior... now you're thinking!

Took mine to get a road force balance done, several tries on a spin balancer couldn't get it right but it's smooth as glass now.

For anyone in the area, the Discount Tire store on Magnolia Drive, right across from Tallahassee Ford is excellent. Service is second to none. The fella checking me in thought I was reading the odometer wrong when I told him it was at 257,200 miles. He went out and looked for himself :ROFLMAO:. Said he'd never seen an '02 in such good shape.

Took the 2011 on a camp ground scouting expedition to four different State Parks. I knew Raccoon Creek was a great park but after seeing four other examples, I've grown to appreciate it that much more.

Ohiopyle camp sites were disappointing, the sites were right on top of each other and small, there was a lot of traffic and the area was crowded. Tons of nope.

Koosier was just disappointing.

Laurel Hill has some potential.

Keystone was the most promising of the four. I actually liked a few of their site sizes and locations. A small park but for what we normally do, it could work.

Was a nice day but fall is around the corner so I took the tonneau off and put the cap on. I only use the cap in the winter. Took the rain barrels down, not that they've done much good with hardly any rain since June, then put the hitch on and dragged my jetski from the corner of the yard over to the patio where the rain barrels were.

Getting ready to eliminate the fawking lunchbox locker.

I think diff fluid may be the worst thing that goes into or comes out of an automobile.
