I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
Technically it’s an F-550, so this seemed like a good place to put it...

The Bearcat came in tonight for some A/C work and I figured some of you may like to see it.

Lenco takes a new F550, removes all the body panels, chops it up at the A pillars and right behind the firewall, and builds a new armored body over what’s left.
I want one of these as a daily driver!

Why didnt i see this sooner?

I want one!

Seen a black one last week heading down 195 towards Trenton. Undoubtedly for protest patrol. It had something big on the roof which looked like it could have been one of those sonic weapon things.

We had a loaner one when this went back for warranty work, it had a big water cannon on it.

Who owned it? State police? Sheriff? The black one I saw had military style markings on it. No big emblem on the door. I dont know that even the national guard uses those things. :dunno: the military just uses armored hummers or real APCs.

This one is the sheriffs dept’s. They also have a MRAP, but I don’t have pics of it... we took it to McDonalds for dinner the day we got it. It doesn’t fit in the drive-thru.

When i worked at the spring shop we got cop cars all the time. This was crown vic or chevy caprice days. We use to drive them all over town for "test drives"

I case anyone is wondering what an MRAP is...
Mine
Resistant - Ambush Protected

This isn’t our, but it looked just like this before they painted and lettered it.
It’s pretty cool. The doors are 3/8” steel with 1/2 armor over it. The floor is V shaped to deflect an explosion. The seats are suspended from the roof.

I dont think the military uses those things much anymore so alot of them ended up in civilian service. They were too damn slow and used too much fuel for combat. Oshkosh makes the new ones, I think they are called Matvs.

The MRAP came in today:

Well at least now i know where to fire if I'm ever being attacked by a dumbass mrap. Passengers side fender by the firewall.

Through the 1/2 steel firewall!?!?! Go for it.
