From what I understand he did that, then he sent out a email to a bunch of people that was sounded much more serious than what he told the Navy and since it wasn't really secure in any way that email got leaked.

Doesn't add up. I don't see where the Captain of an air craft carrier would email a bunch of people in the Navy begging for help, unless the person(s) in charge that he reported to were ignoring or downplaying his request. I think he reported the problem, the Navy failed to act or downplayed it, and he was forced to seek help by reaching out to others in the Navy. He shouldn't have been disciplined. He's a hero for the efforts he made to protect and save his crew. The person that leaked the email is the one that should be disciplined. BTW, I saw in the news where Captain Crozier has tested positive for the virus.

I'm not a Joe Biden fan, but at least he can see through the bullshit in the Crozier case.

Report, on MSN News, this morning--- I just don't understand!!!!



Yuma Police said an investigation was launched on April 4 after the department received multiple reports about videos posted on social media showing a man coughing on a handle while referencing the COVID-19 outbreak.

The suspect was later identified as a 23-year-old male from Winterhaven, California. During police interviews, the man said he got the idea after seeing similar videos which had been posted online in recent weeks.

FWIW if I was the captain of an aircraft carrier with some sort of outbreak and I was going to break rank with an email... I might float it past the Admiral that also lives on my carrier.

No matter who ultimately handled the TR situation poorly (maybe everybody), the whole thing just reeks of leadership and communications failures. Modly handled it horribly in his own address to the crew.

Maybe Rear Admiral Stuart Baker (Admiral on board) was the problem, and an obstacle he (Crozier) was trying to work around. The Captain of an aircraft carrier wouldn't circumvent the Admiral on board without realizing it would have repercussions. If he did, he'd do so as a last resort. This raises a bigger question, if the Admiral was on board, why wasn't he dealing with this? It's his crew in his fleet. Maybe he should be relieved.

Yes, that was a great way to sow resentment in a crew that really looked up to their CO.
