Anybody else out of work due to the beer disease?

We're open for business. My lady friend works for the state and their offices are closed at least this week, schools are closed this week, most of my clients do not want to meet until after this deal blows over.

I have projects to do but I don’t know if I’ll be able to do them. I’m still waiting on a T-bar for the suspension up grade. At least I can address the ball joint issue. Then there is oil changes due in the spring. I’m not sure if auto parts stores are going to remain open for that.

Home projects will require Home Improvement stores to remain open.

Time will tell.

Since I work at a defense contractor, we were told this week to start working from home. So I'm safe. Fortunately my fiance just started a new job yesterday and her company also has her working from home. We had to reorganize the basement to make it into a functional office for us both, so we're pulling through.

I was at autozone yesterday and was the only one there not a employee. It was really strange.

Things are a little sketchy at my pizzeria... I'm still open for carry out and online ordering and delivery. If I have to close... it's going to hurt pretty bad. We will probably survive but it is a total unknown for sure. Sales the past few days are lower then typical... seems people cleaned out the grocery stores and are eating at home.

That was just mandated on the other side of the river, carry out or delivery only. Has to be hard on the mom and pop diners. Of course the big chains with drive thru won't care too much.

I did hear you can draw unemployment while you are off work though.

I don’t have that option. I can fox a fuel tank via telework. The same with my girlfriend, she has to physically assist elderly or disable people. I’m glad you both have the option.

Yeah we are both lucky our work can be done via the internet. I have to work on hardware starting next week, but that's up in the air for me right now.

Strange times for sure. Hopefully y'all who have to physically be out there are safe and healthy.

Uber Eats is probably going to see a spike in business.

Surprisingly the opposite. Most people seem to be cooking more and ordering take-out less. At least around here. My local restaurants doing take out and delivery are now offering "contact free" service to try and ease peoples minds to get them ordering again. They are literally serving food like a C.I.A agent. Order and pay over the phone or online, then the guy takes the food and sets it on the steps and walks away. Then you walk up and take the bag. Its really effin funny to see, but in a really horrible way...

I've gotten several messages today from local mom and pop chains that are adding curbside pickup. Everybody's trying to adapt to the new reality.

That's how AutoZone always is around here, they suck

Makes sense, Uber driver could have "the sick"

Wait, I quoted a small sentence ( Surprisingly the opposite. Most people seem to be cooking more and ordering take-out less), then this long CIA shit came with it.

Yea I edit posts quick to add thoughts.... see I just did it again... Im too impulsive with the "reply" button.

Dammnit i did it again.

Around here:
Everything non-essential has to be shut down by 8pm. When they are open, capacity of any building is limited to 50 people. All restaurants dining rooms, casinos, bars, etc are closed until further notice.
There is a recommended curfew of 8pm... it’s not mandatory and not enforceable. Driving home last night at 1am (technically this morning) was no different then any other night... everything was closed and there was no one on the road.

I just saw on the news some business are offering "senior only" service for the first hour or so they are open so the older folks can get their necessities before the hoarding idiots... not a bad idea in my opinion.

Yeah... CIA. That sounds more like the way you buy something from someone law enforcement is looking for.
