So the freeze plug popped out of the 5.0. Has anyone ever seen this before?

If its hard to get too use a rubber expansion plug to replace it, works the same to plug the core hole, just more expensive than the metal hammer-in type

I haven’t seen it. But I’ve heard that’s what they do.
Ok I wasn't sure if I killed her normally that happens when pressure gets in there. But it runs fine and the oil looks clean and isnt mixed in

Those are supposed to keep the coolant in. I wouldn’t run it until it’s fixed. But that’s just me.

On my 460 i built into a 557ci I tapped the freeze plug holes. Suppose to stiffen the block. Dunno if it holds any merit but i was bored.
Im gonna have to look into that.

Yea... not something you wanna do on a engine you actually use daily. Freeze plugs do serve an important function. I did this on a engine intended just for racing.
For a 460 im probably gonna do next
