Cybertruck Reveal

They know that the net energy in remaining fossil fuels is too low to support the automotive transportation system for much longer, so they are hoping the EV will keep it going a bit longer. It will look like it's working for a little while.

Then obviously we just need to make more fossils... Do I have to think of everything...

I dont really give a damn what happens outside the US...

All we can do is sit back and watch. But ill guradamntee that the majority of vehicles outside commi countries will remain IC for a very, very, very long time,

We agree on this actually. ICEs will be the majority of new vehicles for awhile, and it will take even longer for the entire fleet to switch over (in reality it will never be 100% EV). Knowing this, I'm not sure why you seem so threatened or troubled by their existence.

Since you don't care about the rest of the world, let's look at the US fleet. There are about 260 million registered vehicles in the US. If we make some broad assumptions for easy calculations we take Average sales of about 15 million annually, and a 1:1 replacement ratio would take 17.3 years for every car to become an EV if they stopped selling ICEs right now. And that's assuming all kinds of overly simplistic things and new vehicles are lasting longer all the time. Realistically, it's very likely to take longer than that because the replacement ratio won't be 1:1 for many more years. I'd say 10-15 years until majority of new vehicles sold in the US are PHEV or BEV. Probably more like 30-40 before they make up 90% of the vehicles on US roads.

I doubt "Greta" will allow us to take that long.

Then why is crude prices lower then they have been in years?
Because the financial system is utterly broken. It's a completely manipulated scam where the price of things has no relation to the value of things. The banks make bad loans to keep shale oil pumping at a loss, and when the loans go bad they will not lose any money - you and I will pay in other ways that are not obvious. Again. Because if the oil stops flowing the elites lose control of the masses, and therefore lose power, and anything and everything will be done to prevent that. So we'll pump shale oil at a loss.

Just like in the late 80's where the notional cost of oil was incredibly cheap, but we had to build a worldwide empire, a mountain of debt and the military to defend it in order to have that happen. What did that oil really cost? We're still paying for it.

Well obviously we just need to print more money... seriously am I the only one even trying here?

A buddy of mine tried that... I haven’t seen or heard from him in years.

Probably because he's filthy rich living on his own private island!

Has anybody done the math on just how many "fossils" it has taken to create the fuel that's got us to this point? How many more are there? Asking for a friend.

The Weimar Republic tried to pay off war debt that way. They... Well, they emancipated themselves after a few years of hardship...
