More starter issues.

Hi, ive recently encountered more problems with my starter. The starter seems to disengage and spin once a cylinder fires. Ive confirmed this by disconnecting the coil and the starter never disengaged or spun. I just recently replaced the starter cable and solenoid. The starter is also brand new. Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like the over running clutch drive (ford talk for bendix) is on its way out. I've had some trucks that seem to eat those like candy. Have never figured out why.

Then its probably a bad bendix like @alwaysFlOoReD said. Most remanufactured starters are just junkyard trash with a paintjob and are dead out of the box. Take it back and exchange it for another one. After 3 or 4 times you may get a good one...
