Another 84 barn find with the rare 2nd gas tank!
That should command another $1000!
Although that hideous paint makes it look like an 83, -$1000.
3" lift. Did they remove the stock blocks and give it 1" more lift? ?

This truck has been on Ebay before. Being a Nevada truck, that body is in EXCELLENT shape. The firewall is clean enough to eat off of which is rare these days for a 1st gen.

It also has the same paint scheme as the tailgate I just picked up.

Ive never seen that paint scheme before.

I bet they just painted the bottom half to clean it up.
That's one thing I really like about early Rangers, the different paint jobs! New cars are soooo boring.
Any paint experts out there?

The tailgate I picked up with what seems to be original paint. The FORD letter stickers match the color of the upper stripe.

Ebay truck tailgate. The FORD letter color seems to match the upper stripe on this tailgate as well.

The lower color on both trucks have the same cutoff line at the top too. The Ebay truck may be a repaint to freshen it up, but it seems to follow the original lines of the factory paint scheme.

GB :)

Also wtf ever happened to color interiors? Every vehicle now is grey or tan or a shade of one.

Whats sexier then this?

Not a thing wrong with tan...

I don't think black is a good truck interior color though... every spec of dust stands out badly. I could almost grow potatoes on my gray F-150 dash and as long as no one smudges it it looks fine.

As the guy that converted his 88 to a black/grey interior:

??

That truck has my bumper! I picked up that same rear bumper from the scrap pile for less than $5 (well $0.10/lbs for the bumper) Shocked that a bumper from the 80's fit a 99 with no mods or cutting. Funny that a bumper 20 years older than mine is FAR more superior that the crap metal they used in the late 90's.

I forgot about that, mine does have the black steel part around the base of the windshield yet.

Like exterior I don’t think anything looks better than black. Just in my little world it is impossible to keep clean and is merciless on showing any debris.

Oh yeah, the pollen and dust is merciless on it.

Still.

Better than red.
