I tried spearfishing once.... I was almost hit by a boat twice, almost shot myself, almost stabbed myself, got bashed against a rock by a wave, swallowed a gallon of seawater, and got stung by some weird water bugs all within an hour of getting in the water.

And they have sharks with bad attitudes to add to the experience...

To this landlocked fisher of ponds it was pretty impressive.

What kinda sharks do you have?

Pretty much everything. Blues, mako, great whites, threshers, tigers, bulls etc but the only 2 species I target from the beach are browns and sand tigers. They are relatively small (100-200lbs) and come close to the beaches in late summer.

Also, yeah, I don't think I'd want to live in California. I hear Bakersfield is nice though.
