83 Ford ranger 2.3. 4 speed. Swapping 88 2.3 turbo with the 5 speed the problem is the complete wiring harness been cut out can I do the efi conversion and dura spark set up and any info be great .

You either need a harness that's intact to run EFI or a carburetor. None of the Duraspark parts are compatible with EFI.

I don't know if anyone has ever put a turbo on a carbureted 2.3 before. I would imagine it would almost be easier to build and certainly easier to tune an EFI engine.

Ford did. 1984 was the first year of the Mustang SVO, and it was still carb.

You sure?? Wasnt it only 85/86 those were built? And 85 was first of the EFI i think

I meant a hobbyist. I've seen a bunch of turbo carbureted V8s and others but not a 2.3.

Turbo coupe Thunderbirds are still fairly common and cheap. I've only seen one SVO Mustang over the years, they were not real common.

83.5 - 84 there was the Mustang GT Turbo. 2.3l turbo carb. 84 was the first year of the SVO.
