How do I know which transmission I have? Its an 89 with a 2.9L 5spd Manual. But which manual is it? I know this question has probably been asked before but I couldn't find it.

Mitsubishi FM146 if its a 4x4, these have a removable pan on the bottom and removable bellhousing

Mazda M5OD-R1(M5R1) if its 2WD, one piece case, no pan, top is removable for service

Thanks Dirtman as the file shows there are 2 types of transmissions for my Ranger.

Mitsubishi FM146 if its a 4x4, these have a removable pan on the bottom and removable bellhousing

Mazda M5OD-R1(M5R1) if its 2WD, one piece case, no pan, top is removable for service
