Wiring diagram for wiper motor 94 Ranger XLT

So I went out and dug out my truck today and went to wash the windshield and my wipers stopped in the up position and wont move on there own now. My pissers still work and if my understanding is correct they are on the same circuit so no blown fuse... I think? I'm thinking a bad wiper motor but want to check to make sure the motor is getting power before saying for sure and replacing it.

Does anyone have a link to a wiring diagram including the 94 wiper wiring? Or willing to tell me what wires are what?
I looked in the how to tech section and there is only diagrams for 91 and older. Knowing what wires do what under what conditions would be a great help. I do have intermittent settings though I'm not sure if that info helps or not.

I would like to test tonight so I can get the parts first thing tomorrow if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.



(EDIT): Went out to start probing for power and when I turned the switch on the wipers worked. So I have an intermittent issue at the moment. Any suggestions on trouble shooting the intermittent issue?

Maybe the stuff was just frozen.

One thing you might be able to do is open the cover where the contact wheel is. Clean the electrical contacts with contact cleaner and clean & regrease the gears.

I thought of this also. We did have an ice storm here so it is a possibility but only time will tell if that was the case. Now that RonD provided the wiring schematic if it stops again I can start tracking the issue down.

I'm not sure if it is the motor or the transmission but since I bought it there has been a growl type sound from the system, seems to happen during cold weather more than warm, and the reason I am suspecting the wiper motor is on its way out.

If this is the case that would mean I would have no power at the motor, correct? When it acts up again I'll check for power and that will help point towards the switch or motor being bad.

No or low power. You may get what my auto prof called "IBV" or itty bitty volts.

That's the motor. The trans linkage just falls apart and goes bang bang thump.

I picked up a wiper motor from a local auto parts store and depending on how cold a rainy 45°F feels today I may toss it in otherwise I'll have to wait for warmer weather.
