The fact that you got it to work the other day indicates that you are close to having it fixed. The motor is not hard to disassemble, clean, relube and re-assemble. I might have posted a picture or two in my build thread. I'll look in a minute.
You could also have a loose wiring connection somewhere. Maybe dirt, moisture and corrosion on the connector at the motor.
