Foxbody limited slip carrier in a 91 ranger ??

I just picked up a limited slip carrier out of a 90 mustang,the diff in my 91 ranger is open.I just realized the one in my Ranger has a speed sensor ring on the carrier and the fox body carrier doesn't have the sensor ring ,from what I gather on the 91 Ranger it is there only for the cruise control and abs.I dont really care about the the cruise or the ABS my concern will it throw an engine light or have any ill affects in how it runs or shifts,,,,thanks ahead jim

Not for cruise, just for rear ABS and ABS light will come on and stay on without it, but..........

You can move the tone ring over to the Mustang carrier, it is just a press fit on the backside of ring gear
Slide it off the Ranger carrier and slide it onto Mustang carrier
Some recommend heating tone ring in an oven first, so it expands a bit

1991 should have VSS(speed sensor) on the Speedometer cable hook up on the trans, thats for the cruise and the computer

Thanks Ron I did notice on the mustang Carrier there is a notch also I guess it is there to locate it...
