4wd coils in 2wd?

I have a 88 2wd and the right coil has pretty much collapsed I have had to put some twist in spacers in it for now. Is there any lift to be gained from 4wd coils I have them already. I m setting money aside for a superlift. So I m trying to keep it going until then and gain a little lift till I m able to buy a full kit.

Yes. You should get an inch or two from that. Probably best to put some 4x4 blocks in the rear too when you do that, otherwise you will look like you are getting ready for blast-off all the time.

I put 4x4 springs on my 95. They had very little effect on suspension height. If you look up all the specs on the different springs, the only real difference was the coil spring weight IIRC. If you already have them, go ahead and install them. I had to replace mine since one was broken and replacement coils were all the same price. I was hoping for a minor lift, but it was not noticeable to me at all.

Not meaning to revive an old post but I am in the process of doing a suspension overhaul on a recently obtained 96 2.3L xlt 5sp std cab. I looked up the front springs on RA and the set was 58 + shipping = about 100$. AZ website showed a pair of Duralast for 35+tax(orderable part at the local store). The only issue is that the AZ coils on the store computer pulled up for the splash and xl models but nothing for the xlt. What is the true difference in them? Will they not fit properly? I have the 72" bed and it is the "styleside" body if that helps. I went ahead and placed an order for them(the ones for the 108" or 114" wb) in case they can fit.

Okay so the fitment should be the same is what I get from that statement, but the "ride" could vary. Not looking for much other than a working suspension system lol. The previous owner left everything on the truck from factory and never changed anything out while the truck is now at 238K miles(which stopped ticking the miles who knows how long ago)
