air

I use a 3000 psi scuba tank I found at a pawn shop (regulated down to less than 250 psi), had a 15 foot hose made by a scuba products maker and made a vertical holder for it that bolts to the floor of my bed, works great.
Costs $5.35 for refills at the scuba shop.

You can also use a co2 tank from a soda machine.
Some guys use a small welding tank charged with nitrogen.

The compressors for the 2.9L do quite well for OBA, you will need a tank, pressure releive valve and a switch to turn it on and off. A tank makes a big difference aswell.

It will get very hot. You will need an oiler for sure. As said, a tank works well.

I find just packing a squirt bottle full of ATF and a T inline with the intake on the compressor works wonders, give it a shot on start up and its good to go. An oil water separator on the outlet is a must.

the 4.0l pump is working for you?

No, i've gone through about 3 4.0L pumps, they just seem to eat themselves up. I'm now working on a plate to mount a york 210 under the hood.

My buddy has had no problems at all with the 2.9L pump, i've heard this from many others aswell.

i diden't think it was, were you talking about atf in the 2.9l pump?

EDIT: a york 210? is that a serpentine app.? sounds good

Yup, ATF in the 2.9L compressor. The york I have is v belt (most are) but you can buy a serp pulley clutch for it. I'm just gonna run mine on a separate v belt off of the power steering pulley tho with a tensioner.

you probably want to run a manual switch if using the stock a/c pump otherwise it will burn up when you turn on your defrosters... i found a inline air tool oiler at harbor freight for cheap ( like everything else) i'm gonna put that infront of the intake and add a water/oil separator on the outlet side... looking for suitable tank at the moment

Go to a big rig truck shop, i got my tank from the local Peterbuilt dealer for 50 bucks, it mounted nicely between the frame rails. Its a 5 gallon tank.
