So my 99's fuel mileage has dropped 5 mpg this month.
I replaced the upper intake manifold gaskets, replaced the fuel filter, the air filter, changed the oil and then the fuel mileage dropped 5 mpg. The check engine light is off now and hasn't came on in 4,000 miles. I drove it to ks and back that's how I put 4,000 miles on it so fast. 80 mph or 60mph I still get 16 mpg.

Try cleaning the mass air flow sensor

I was getting 20.5 to 21.5 depending on how I drove. Oh it's the 4.0 ohv. I'll do the maf tonight or tomorrow. I cleaned it about 2 months ago.

Might have a leak somewhere. If you took stuff off to clean it and gained a leak then the o2 sensor will read a lean condition and richer the mix. Just a thought.

I pulled my plugs and wires on my 2.5 mini and they were so shot. 8 gain d a lot of power and it seems like the gas gauge is moving slower. The next tank will let me know.

I pulled it and replaced the upper intake gasket because it had a leak. No more leak unless I cracked a hose or something. I'll have to go through it tomorrow.
Picked up a silver camper shell for her today. $140! All the glass is good but it needs a paint job and some of the weather stripping replaced. Other wise it's in good shape.

Found a somewhat rare manual tcase behind a 5.0 in an explorer at the sunrise pick n pull. Fyi..

Pretty sure it isn't the 1354m that fits a ranger, but all the 5.0 explorers are awd.

Not all exploder 5.0's are awd. There are even some super rare fleet expo 5.0's the have manual t cases with a 5 speed. If I had the time I would go pull that. But Baby hank is due any day now.

I'm planning on rebuilding my trans and having it finished by Christmas. I wanna do some wheeling to test her out. Anyone down for a bald mtn run around the 31st of next month?
