Sorry for the newbie question. I inherited my '93 Ranger XLT and am wondering where these things are located, or if they were even included in the '93.

I Googled the jack location and someone said that it was located under the hood, on the passenger side. I checked and there isn't anything there. All the way up front, there is an open area where it looks like a jack could have been kept, but I'm not sure.

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for a bottle jack, if I need to buy one? I just want something adequate for pulling tires that I can keep in the truck, so I don't need stands or a heavy trolley jack.
Been looking on Amazon and the low-ton jacks don't have much height, and I obviously don't need a 10-ton.

I think the 93 and 94s were the same.

In my 94, the jack is clamped to the floor behind the passenger seat.

The spare tire is under the...bed. Lay under the rear bumper you should see it if you have one.

If its a Super cab then the jack is tucked behind the passenger jump seat in an XLT or in the cubby hole in an XL.

The jack handle/crank is under the hood across the top of the radiator support. (clipped on parallel to the hood prop.)

Lug wrench will be with the jack. The jack under the hood was a fullsize Ford thing.

cl, you were right about the tire (thanks), but I'm guessing we have different cab styles since the our jacks aren't in the same spot. Either that or Ford started changing things up after the '93.

Thanks, Plum. Everything was where you said it would be. Saved me some money, not having to buy any of those things.

The Rat came without any spare or tools. I got a steelie with a 235 75 15 and the jack and handle as well. I saw where the handle goes , but I have no clue about the jack, It rides upside down behind the right headlight. The spare and a 4 way ride in the bed. If I ever get around to fixing the bed and finding the source of the smell I get with a full tank., I will rig a functional spare hanger

FWIW, if you got it used, I would be surprised if it still has everything.

I inherited the truck from my dad and he took excellent care of it, so all this stuff is still like new. :)

When I was cleaning out his belongings at his home, I found a trolley jack, so he probably never even used the jack that came with the truck.
