98 ranger lift kit ?

Is there a suspension lift kit 2" or so for the 98 up Rangers ?
I just want to lift it a little to put on larger tires to lower the gears a little for fuel economy .

that is in no way gonna help your fuel mileage. the bigger tires will negate the effects of lower gearing, the heavier tires will only drag down mileage, and the lift will increase frontal surface area which will once again only hurt your mileage.

if you still want to lift, you can get a couple inches by cranking your torsion bars in the front (check the tech library) and blocks, shackles or an add-a-leaf in the rear.

I know that I could crank on the bars for some lift but the ride is bad enough I would rather have all my travel I just dont want to have to change driveshafts or anything major just to lift it a couple of inches.

Ialso know that the larger tires would negate the gears but it would be at minimal notice if in 4low,
and I dont really think that the difference from 235/75/15 to say a 31-9.50-15 would make a huge mileage difference .
I just know that at 65 mph I am running 2750 rpms and would like to lower that some without changing gears plus the lift would look good on the truck.

im kinda doin the same goin from the stock 245 75 16 to a 285 75 16. i have my tbars cranked and a 3" body lift. it was easy to do, me and my buddy did it in a night with just 2 jacks and basic tools. plus body lifts are cheap so i would reccomend trying a body lift, i think my costed me 209 bucks.

Despite what you may think now, your engine is more efficient at that RPM than it would be at a lower RPM. Take the time to search the forum, it's been discussed... a few times. Your engine, especially the 3.0, isn't a V8. It's not most efficient just 'loping along' at a low rpm.
