hammer and chisel the base to make an ice sculpture.

I'd take a lot of propane and a touch end. Melt that sucker out. Make sure you don't run outta propane tho because by the time you gget back it'll be frozen again.

Throw antifreeze and deicer on it.

Probably one of the worst thing to do is melt the ice. In that cold of conditions, it will refreeze, making it worse. The ice will be fragile enough to fracture and break off, it will just take some time to free the whole vehicle.

Yup. Chainsaw, jackhammer, winches/pullers/etc, and some wood to act as ramps.

Something similar happened to a friend of mine, only his got frozen in mud. After 2 full weekends of attempted extraction, it ended up sitting in the woods for 2 and a half months until a warm enough day came along.

Once you break it loose then what are you gonna be able to drive it away? Get something with tracks up there to tow it out of the deep snow. Once you get it moving dont stop!!!

I had my Zuki stuck like that once...just dug out the snow in front of the vehicle to make it flat and has a skidoo pull me out...but I was gunning it in 4x4 mode and rocking it a bit...as long as the wheels are free it will walk out of that...and as long as there are no elevation drops to deal with...

Mark, it isn't buried in snow, the lower half of the wheels and the axles are encased in ice. A snow mobile isn't going to do anything but break.

my truck when it was brand new sank to the bottom of houghton lake. gone. the original owner apparently has my luck.




but i have had it froze in several times just like that cruiser.....chainsaw and a good pull was needed because the snowmobiles couldnt do it when it was still gooey..but many times snowmobiles worked fine...

i slept in it and had to have gas brought out to me every time though....cause there always those few fawktard snowmobilers that will destroy anything left out there.....even guys parked hunting

Or chainsaw a big square around it and find something really big and drag it out to thaw. I suppose cut whatever side you are going to drag at an angle so it rides up easier?
