alright, my stock leafs are sagging pretty good. So I'm going to be replacing them, question is, with what.

I want something that will allow me to have good amount of travel, to soak up the holes and bumps on the backroads, and something i can eventually handle moderate jumps with.

also with that in mind, i want something thats not to soft, as I do haul stuff in the bed. from a few bags of garbage, all the way to a bed full of heavy logs from cutting trees.

so it needs to be stiff enough to handle some weight, but soft enough to not skip sideways when going over some bumps.

any ideas as to what would be my best bet?

First, are you after any lift with this? If not, Im not entirely sure what options you have...

If you are okay with like 2" lift, get some junkyard explorer leafs, and repack 'em with two of your Ranger Leafs added. Thats probably your cheapest option.

If you've got more money, brand-new explorer springs probably wouldn't be a bad choice.

If you are interested in jumping the truck, look into a shackle flip. Chevy 64" leafs and a flip will keep you pretty close to stock ride height

yeah not looking for lift, maybe an inch at most. if it means ditching the block, id be all for it. do not like blocks.

i htought about the chevy 64, but how would that handle the weight? sometimes ive got close to 800 lbs in the bed i bet. albiet those trips are short, 5 mile runs. but the quad is about 500 lbs. and is in there for a long distance.

will the chevy's handle that without insane sag?
if so, do you think the 2 leaf +overload, or the 3 leaf without overload would be best?

Think about what you just asked......They are from a half ton chev....they will hold up a ranger with a load in the bed just fine.

ditch the blocks, and do the explorer leafs with an extra leaf out of your current pack, done and done, $40 or so total max

My brothers half ton Chevy sags a lot more than my sagging ranger leafs when loaded lol.

how much does the back end of a 1/2 ton weigh? how much does the back end of a 1/4 ton weigh? which will sag more on the same weight springs?
