Before I left for NY on Friday I did work on the truck for a few min.
I was going to see what I could do about the slip yoke boot I destroyed on my front shaft. I noticed my calculations were a bit off when I built the shaft leaving only 1" or so of engagement at full stuff. So I dug through my pile of yokes and found a 1310 slip that was .75" longer or so. I was going to throw my joint in it and call it good....but turns out that the Moog joint that only has 3 runs on it was dry as a bone and trashed. So I threw in my extra Spicer that I keep in stock.
I really thought those Moogs seemed beefy too. I still have two of them in the double cardan so hopefully they hold for little while. Out of my 10 shafts and slip yokes laying around not one boot was small enough to clamp on the small diameter right, but I was a able to get a good Spicer number off the old boot I will stop by the driveline shop today and order one. I found them online for 10 bucks but the shipping is another 10.lol

Not much of an update..
But went to pickup the oil tube and found that he accidentally ordered another lower...So the upper will be in tomorrow.
Also picked up bolts for the flywheel.
I should have rings, main and rod bearings, oil pump, and rod bolts this weekend.
Thought the truck was handling a bit weird. Found a blown out trackbar bushing, so I got those on the way too.
Jumped the gun and had these made for the Cowl hood that I dont have yet that will cover the motor that I havent built yet.lol
Also got a bumper started on the B2..
It will get a receiver and some filler panel of some sort up top still.

Got a few pistons cleaned up today. Let them soak in a bucket of diesel for a few days and hit them with a brass wire brush today.
The left bank had way more nasty carbon build up for some reason.
Close up of the reason 98TM pistons are 50g lighter. Thinner skirts and "pockets" above the wrist pins.
Picked up the rest of the oil screen tube.
Here is my wasted trackbar bushing. Turns out poly bushings don't like being soaked in ATF for 2 years then twisted to hell.lol
I need to build a bar with rodends, but Im just throwing another poly in for now. The kit comes with both for 10 bucks, and I can use the extra to build a new shackle for my traction bar since my afro engineered sway bar bushing idea is shot.lol
Still need to get the right boot for my front shaft, but I clamped on a old boot for the time being to keep it clean.

Cleaned up the remaining slugs and got my NOS Ford standard bore rings.
Polished up the oil filter adapter and bolt. Shot clear on the aluminum and painted the bolt. Still need to get orings since they were so brittle that they cracked.
