BlackBII's white ranger

That's going to depend on what I get done on the Ranger.. If I can have it back together by Saturday evening, then I'll come up there.

So are you going to Hires on Saturday?

i can't say i recognize the screenname, have you come to our meetups before?

either way we are excited to have another RBVU member :headbang:

I've posted on the utah peeps thread a couple of times, but I haven't been to one yet..

Had to get creative with the idler pulley after the pressed in piece broke while I was trying to replace the pulley and bearing, and finding one of these brackets 'aint easy.

Good 'ol Ace Hardware came to the rescue. The inside diameter of the bearing is 17mm, and Ace had the perfect sized bronze bushing, I had to use a c-clamp to get it in, but it worked great. :icon_thumby:

ace really is the place. they have all sorts of stuff in their hardware section. i bought 3/4" jam nuts their for some of my heims for 40 cents a piece. 4WP charged me $3.99 for one once.

Yeah Ace is the shit. I don't go anywhere else for hardware anymore. Home Depot is pathetic, and Lowes isn't much better.

I have spent a couple hundred dollars at Ace just on hardware, for just my Fiat project...grade 8 stuff is expensive! :icon_surprised:

I found a new place with lots of cool hardware stuff in SLC. Ever heard of Marshall's?

Sent from my Quad Core Acer A210

Never heard of or been to Marshalls, I'll have to check it out.

Picked up some explorer leaves today

Nice and rusty!

Yes, I know, it looks the same, if not lower now! But, it's so much better without the blocks and with new bushings and stiffer springs. I used the top hole on the 6400 shackles, so, if I need to go another inch higher I can. Remember, I'm only going to run 31's on this truck. It has 28's right now.

The front axle is next, maybe next weekend.

Sorry I didn't come to the meet up btw, but I was right in the middle of this whole leaf spring debacle. I had to cut every single bolt, none of them would come out. It was a serious pain in the ass.

looks good dude

i used the same method to get the bushing out of my explorer springs. what a pain.

Yeah it's a serious pain. Everything underneath on my ranger is rusty...crazy because the body is perfect. When I pulled the leafs off the explorer at the junkyard all the bolts came out easy..I wasnt so lucky on the ranger. I spent a good 10 hours on this swap, about 3 times longer than I planned for.

Let's hope the front end is easier!
