Doing a 302 swap in my 88 ranger, Im planning on putting bigger tires on it when the motor is in. I'm planning on getting skyjacker softride coils. The weight of the motor is prob going to sag the front end but I still need room for bigger tires. What would be the best size springs to get ?

find the pound per in. rating of the soft rides, the difference in weight your running for and engine now and the v8. need more specifics also on what tire size and how much lift you looking to get?

I want it to fit 38s.

302 weight is negligible.

what axle for 38,s?

I don't know yet, what would be the best option ?

dana 60/44 front with superflex 6.5 from bronco grave yard and d60 rear with 92-96 f150 leafs with 4" block, thats what id do.

i have the 44/60 set up with 3.5 superflexes for early bronco, and am about to put a 302 in and swap my stock leafs with add a leaf and explorer leaf added in, for the leafs out of the f150 with a 2 in. block that im gettin the 302 out of.

If you are planning to beat it you are looking at 1 ton stuff...and you still might break it

It already has a leaf pack in it, im going to put some blocks in it and thinking about 6inch soft ride coils off summit racing. Then see what size i can put on it. It going to be a mud truck so i dont plan on doing any flexing haha.
