Hey, I thought I would just mention this sweet app I just bought ($1.99 on Amazon). It's called Scanner911 and it has several police/fire/emt transmissions throughout the country. Also a few from other countries as well.

I am listening now. There's a little crap hole motel downtown that has 2 people that OD'd in separate rooms that appear unrelated. Kinda weird.

Edit - the other thing that I like is it has replay. So if you missed what they said, just back it up.

any one nows of a set up where i can use my skypad alpha 2 with usb host, as a obd2 scanner. i have no bluetooth, but i do have usb host where i can hook thing up like keyboards and mice, memory cards and the tablet will see them

I have a USB ELM327, and I also noticed that Torque Pro has a USB selection.

I wonder if that would work with a USB adapter to micro usb?

i bought a usb dongle for Bluetooth. so does any one have a recommendation on a ford obd2 scanner Bluetooth for android?

This is the one I got. It was 15 dollars on Ebay. It works great.

Neither my Droid X, or my buddies S2 would connect to his ELM 327 (below) on a Ford, but they would connect on his GMC.

i am having issues getting my obd2 codes from being pulled. my tablet has usb host(i can plug in a usb keyboard and it works) but no bluetooth. i can hook up a usb bluetooth adapter. but with the obd2 dongle as my only bluetooth device, i cannot test if my tablet is working with bluetooth

Bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 this morning and im pretty excited about it. I bought it from Radio Shack online since it was $50 cheaper than everywhere else. Should be here Friday. Cant wait to get since this will be my first phone that isnt an older model. Its replacing a LG Optimus that was my first android smart phone. Love the android part but hate the damn phone.

theres a free one called Scanner Radio. I've used it quite a few times, even in tandem with a real scanner, during storms.
