Ranger & S-10 bed size?

I'm looking for a cap for my `03 short bed Ranger. This might be a dumb question but is a short bed S-10 the same dimensions?

I dont think so.... We put the cap from our company (2001) S-10 on the back of my 90 Ranger for a few days. It was about 2" too long.

They are very close (enough that the beds themselves can be swapped) but they are not the same.

We bought covers for the Ranger and the S-10 at the same time and was able to swap a few parts here and there, but the whole assembly would only fit the truck it was for.

An interesting thing I saw last year here in Indy... A green Ranger (4th gen) with a matching green S-10 bed. the body lines were off but not by that much.

I've seen that on a Gen 3. I have also seen a Ranger bed on a T-100.

If the S10 is a pre-93 not gonna happen. Older S10's were true mini trucks. A Gen III's Splash bed had to be sectioned and cut to fit a friend's 88 S10. He did it to piss off Chevy truck owners. It worked. LOL
