Restoring the old Eight Nine Stang

Being the penny pincher that I am, I rummaged through the old shed today trying to find something to use as a flow restrictor. I recently had to buy a new parts kit for my deck/fence pressure sprayer, which came with several parts for sprayers that are not my model. I took one of the nozzles it came with and cut the end off to make a piece, which should work really nice. In customary fashion, here are a couple of pics:

I've mentioned my shifter setup a few times on TRS, and I finally got around to taking a pic. It's got a Saleen Hurst base with aluminum bushings (factory bushings are rubber) and the stock handle has about 1 inch shaved off the top of the threads. I know it's dirty, but it's awaiting some more parts to be accumulated before I really dig into it.

Thanks Toph! I can't wait to put her in a car show.

This is a pic that I don't believe I posted of it right after it was painted (literally):

My buddy that I haven't seen in about 10 years sent me a text message today: "Hey man, are you interested in some seats out of my 92 GT?". Hell yes I am!

So, I traded him my old rear bumper cover for this set:

NICE!

That back seat looks pretty mint

They are in pretty decent shape all around. The rear seats have one little water spot on them, but otherwise are mint. They've been in the rafters of his garage for a couple years, so they got dusty. A steam clean will make them look new. The drivers seat is worn in "the spot" though. I'll get some better pics when I pull them out and clean them. I wish I could get just the drivers seat upholstery. I think I'm going to take it to a shop we have that repairs upholstery and see what kind of magic that can do with them.

Well....I climbed outta my cave and found this thread......

A brand new '89 Mustang......chrome headers ......5.Zero emblems & everything...

Well thank you DeeGee. That means a lot coming from you! I think you've got one of the nicer vehicles on TRS.

Today I went out to the shed and realized what a heap of spare parts I've acquired.

It could be a lot worse.

I have to move my stockpiles out of my parents place... I am thinking of downsizing (scrapping) a lot of it though. :D

The seats look like a good find too :icon_thumby:

I think the E7's are going to get scrapped. I put them on our local Mustang board, and the local classifieds. No bites, even at 20 bucks (I figure that's pretty close as a scrap price). It's a shame because they are in good shape.

I think I paid $75 for mine. :D
