didnt come with one bought it from a junk yard and no you pull i had around my area had one and the 06 y pipe is different and wouldnt allow me to hook up my front drive shaft cuz its in the way

for the shop to fab up a y pipe for me would have been 500 alone not including instalation and pipe

so they wanted $500 for nothing?

Did you use the wrong engine mounts?

The transfercase, driveshaft and front axle never moved between '98 and '06... maybe it is a 2wd to 4wd difference.

For $500 plus pipe and installation I would be looking more into why they wouldn't interchange... because they should.

That is way to much for a y-pipe, I didn't pay that much for a complete exhaust system(from headers to exhaust tips) on an 86 chevy 1500. After they get done charging you for the bj your giving them, since you already payed for it, find a better shop.

correct engine mounts but i had a 3.0 in it before now the 4.0 is in it. they were both 4 wheel drive. o and to buy a new y pipe from the ford deal its $1000. the 500 was just a quote over the phone for labor of making it. i just got a true estimate back for the duals and they want 240 for everything installed. need to get different mufflers though. the ones i bought were to big i didnt like the idea of routing them infront of the tires but they had some tips there and it looks pretty freakin sweet so they are going to route them there. i know i changed my mind o well trial and error
