project family wheeler. chop top 1 ton explorer.

I'm still deciding what I'm going to do, I'm at the point where I'm not saving anything by staying leafs...

Still debating, you'll know soon lol.

I got some 2x4 .25" you can have. Pieces are around 30-36" long. May have some other stuff you could use.

I've got some 2x2 .25" I have no use for at the moment. Probably about 6'.

I've got a bunch of 2x3 3/16 that I've been looking to use on something.

Wow, I disapper for a bit, and half the damn ex gets cut off, and there's about thirty different tangents in the thread including a auto vs. manual debate :icon_rofl:

At this point, you might as well go ahead and run RA's or link it. It sucks that you've got the money tied up in leaves, but the 'cheap' factor of running them isn't doing anything for you. Heck I've given some thought to swapping out my own leaves a time or two, but I think that has more to do with the itch to change things up a bit (even though I haven't wheeled it nearly enough to justifiy it).

Keep plugging away!

Yup, I'm really leaning towards a 3 link. But going to look into radius arms to see if I can find anything better.

Yea I could maybe squeeze a 4 link in but I want to keep it low.

3-link. Problems solved. Get to work!

Why go 4 over 3 in the front? I can understand the 4 linked rear, but I never really understood why someone would want 4 links out front.

according to the guy on "Extreme 4X4" the 4 link gives better articulation on the front also, and combine a 4 link rear it's suppose to be the best setup for rock crawling.

I dont listen to ANYTHING he has to say. He's the d!ckh0le who calls an Orbitrol™ valve an orbital valve. :annoyed:

Sorry, rant over.

4 link has alot of advantages if you have the room for it. If I felt like cutting the tunnel out to raise the motor and trans I'd try it but that's more then I want to dick with right now.

Motor and trans is out, wasn't fun by myself but I got it.

Also it's deffinantly losing the front frame rails, shits gotta go.
