So I have a b2 sas with a jeep Dana 30 with the auto hubs. I know square tube drivelinws work on toyotas even driving 60 on the high way as long as the hubs are unlocked so its not so noisy. But im curious if I will have problems cuz the auto hubs? sorry to bring jeep stuff on the forum but its still a Ford truck! Please help I dont wanna get it done and have to take it right back off

Well they aren't manual hubs. What do you call them? That doesn't have anything to do with my question anyhow

Look (find) my build thread, i am running square tube driveshafts. Mine are HEAVY DUTY!!! 2 X 2 1/4 wall and 1-1/2 X 1-1/2 1/4 wall. you have to grind a slot in your inner tube for the seam on the inside of your outter tube...
There ok, but for a rig thats gonna go over 35-40mph, just make em round like there supposed to be. IMHO.

Its not a noise concern, it is a vibration concern. If you have hubs however to disconnect the tires from driving the front drivetrain while in 2wd, go for it.

This has a lot to do with your question! Your Dana 30 probably does not have disconnecting hubs. That mean the front shaft is always spinning. This is a very good reason for a normal driver shaft.

some d30's have vacuum disconnects and junk, that work half the time...
with a d30 and no manual lockouts.... don't do square unbalanced shafts.
make a real shaft. there are plenty of d30 swaps on here, i'm sure you can find the info you need to figure out what shaft to use.

Stock shaft won't work for you? They do for most.

It's not non vaccum I wouldn't buy that garbage and the stock shaft slips out of the case and ive been looking for months for the rare case and cannot find one. I'm already sas'd but my driveline falls out all the time and I'm about to do my Duals so then I'm really gonna need something.

Get a new tube put in your existing driveshaft, around $100 in most cases.

He could always have the Jeep CJ7 Dana 30 with lockouts... :dunno:

Either way, DEFINITELY go round tubing for the driveshafts. It's inexpensive to have them lengthened and balanced at one of your local shops
