Lifting a Ranger

I'm looking at picking up a 2000 ranger ex cab 4.0 5 speed. It has 130k, I'm
Using it for daily driving and as a novice off road toy. I was wondering what lift and tire size I should go with and what it will cost. I'm thinking 2-3ish inches, nothing obnoxious.

lift spindles and lift shackles.
3" and 2" will cost you 550 shipped.

the max tire size you can run without changing the gear ratio in your axle to compensate for the loss of power will be 31-32's at most.
those will cost you around 800 for new, 500 if you find them used.

if you want ot just run a body lift you can, but IMHO they look bad. nothing like 20" of ground clearance on my front cross member.

if your 4x4, go for a body lift. way less $$$$

2wd or 4x4? You did not give enough info. Use the search function on this site or go to the suspension area in the forums. Lots of info there.

It'd be a 4wd for sure. I'd be daily driving
And occasionally going off road to play at a novice limit testing level.

i hate duratracs. just body lift it, and get some good tires.
