Custom M&M's

Anyone ever ordered them?

If so.. how big is the 10lb bag? Need enough to set out wedding favors. The photo when you go to order them shows nothing for comparison.

Trying to decide between some custom M&M's and the standard mint things.

Look at it this way....

buy a indivdual bag of M&Ms off the candy rack that serves 1 person.

How many ounces does the bag weigh?


There's 160 ounces in a 10 pound bag of custom M&Ms

Divide the number of ounces in the individual M&M bag into 160 ounces.


That answer will tell you how many people can be fed from a 10 pound bag.


You gotta take it from here......

Go to WalMart or someplace that sells the really big "party-sized" bags. I think Sam's Club has a really big one, too. That would save a bit of math, maybe.

Just buy two bags of candy and call it good! If you have left overs eat em!

You could always do this, too: Go get a bag of the "Fun-sized" M&Ms they put out for Hallowe'en. See if one of the pkgs in the big bag is big enough for what you want. Count how many are in that pkg, then multiply by the number of favors you may need.

Order away.

Well, if I made the favors the same size as the small bags they sell at checkout lines then I would be able to make around 90 of them.

Thing is, the "small" guess list of people that will definitely come is about 75 people.

Somehow we ended up with a guest list totaling 200.

Originally we planned on having a SMALL wedding, with each of our parents, siblings, and grandparents. With a few close friends.

If I invite one person, then another will be offended. If I invite them, then I have to invite their kids, etc etc you see how the list got engorged.

I need to sit down with the future wifey and turn this family reunion back into a wedding.

I blame her mother.

Congrats on getting hitched...when is the wedding?

M&Ms are good and having them personalized will be a nice touch...I've still got some wedding favours from my nephew's affair in 1998 or so...they are/were mints...mints last a long time...the chocolate goes rancid in about a year or so...

Are you putting them in little mesh baggies and hanging them from something like a candlestick? That's what my nephew did...a bit more cost but something to remember for sure...

IMO a mint is a one time deal after the meal, however M&M's are a snack and it is more likely for someone to eat more than one or two.
