daily doubler build

It should be there soon, went usps priority to your po box.

It did come in today. I came home and the box was sitting on my bed.

Thanks for including the races too. I thought about it after you shipped it, and thought it'd be perfect if you zip tied the races to the correct bearings - which is exactly what you did. haha.

What's been the life for those bearings? Should I replace em or run em? I haven't cleaned em up to see how they feel yet.

I can't remeber if I swapped the bearings when I went full width or not, I guess I would take a close look at them and decide, but if I remember right, they were in good shape.

Glad you got it

The bearings probably would've outlived my truck, but I put new ones on it anyways. I've learned to replace shit while you have access to it.

Got it installed tonight.

That's about the only pic I took. Got all greased up and didn't want to touch my phone to take the pics. haha.

That's a pretty good shot of my lower shock mounts too, which is what I did last weekend.

So far the welded rear is fine. Not noticeable on the highway at all. It wants to push a little bit through the turns in town, and tight turns like at the gas station, or turning onto a road coming from a business will make the tires sing.

It'll be interesting to see how fast the tires really wear. I put on a lot of highway miles, so it may not be that big an issue. I'm excited to get offroad. Shootin for a day trip up to the Cliffs next weekend.

You sir have a sexy rear end....

There I said it. Everyone else who viewed this tread thought it, but ill say it. Give that sexy rear end the credit it deserves.... Sexxxy Sexxxy.

Went on a day trip to the Cliffs yesterday. Being fully locked is awesome. Should've done it a long time ago. It gets me into places I probably shouldn't be, beat it up pretty good. lol.

I'll try to throw together some pics tonight.

Here's my trip recap:

Got on the trails around 10:30a and tooled around for a bit. Found a slab for a couple poser shots. :thefinger:

Then I've just got some random trail pics. Being fully locked is amazing. I was walkin stuff that I would've been BEATING on my truck to make when I only had the l/s. Night and day difference.

You can see where I was holding the wall - the tread mark by the top of my bed. It came down pretty hard when it slid into the rut. :D

Since pics never do justice, here's a reference pic to show how steep the hill was in that last pic.

This is a pic of "Cooter Trail". I've never made it up it before, and I've been to this park probably 5 or 6 times now. I finally made it. Halfway up, single low 2nd gear 4k rpm, smoke rollin off all 4 tires, it finally hooked and brought me on up. Fully locked FTW.

I was down in the bottoms and found a black diamond trail that followed a creek bed. Looked like no one had been down it for a while so I gave it a shot. Got to where fallen trees were blocking the creek, so I winched up and out.

When I got to the top, I found that I had actually taken the trail to the top, and found the sign at the entrance (I must've ran it backwards)

I would say the name is fitting. Got into my driver front quarter pretty good, cab behind the door, and drug the bed a ways.

Then I snapped one last pic while waiting to air up for the drive home.

Man I just got your message on Facebook the day before you went. The wife would have killed me if I would have went. I know that hill and it is amazingly steep. I have a trail there for you too, called Rattle Snake. We are planning a run in November so I will let you know. Hopefully I will have my 37 inch SSR's on by then and can run some lower air pressure. I will also call you sometime this week so you have my number again.

No worries. Get ahold of me when you guys go and we'll see what's on the agenda.

Thanks man. I've been locked up front forever (back when I had TTB), with an l/s rear. It worked well, but locked f/r takes it to another level.

I wish they let 40s in :(.

Find some 39.5 boggers you can borrow for the trip!

I wish they let 40s in :(.

The owner runs 42's. I had a buddy running 40" ground hawgs nothing was said. But you can always say that they don't measure to 40 inches......no tire is ever true to the size.

Driving 2.5-3hrs on a chance I might get let in lol. They only measure approx 38.5s

At the most a call could be made and see of they will let them in. You could always tell them that the tire only measure right at 38 inches tall. I have been going to this park for over 3 years now and I have never seen them measure a tire since I've been going.

Built the crossmember for my traction bar tonight. If I make it to the shop I should finish the traction bar tomorrow.
