I found a 98 or 99 (I can't remember the year, it's a 4th gen with 3 bulb taillights) for $2700. Practically no rust, only has some paint chips with surface rust. Underbody looks great, rear spring shackles are in good shape and only has 180,xxx miles on it. Also has the 2.5 with manual and it's a supercab. :yahoo: The only issues holding me back on it are the fact that it's been sitting for a long time and it has driveability issues. The owner also kept a lot of crap in it too. But I am determined to get him down to $2000. That is if the engine sounds like it runs good. Apparently it stumbles or bogs down on acceleration. I'm thinking either MAF sensor or TP sensor. But I already have a list of excuses to get the price down $700. So wish me luck guys, I really want this truck.

Sounds exactly like my truck! Stumbling and a rough idle seems to be really common with the 2.5s, it could be the IACV too, or the computer.

I paid $2900 for mine with 160k on it a year ago and now it has 180.

Good luck!

That '98 I looked at was a big failure. So I'm off to look at a '01 tomorrow. It's a regular cab with a 2.5. The guy would sell it with the tool box on it and with a roof rack. And it only has 58,xxx miles on it. I hope he lets me buy it for the price I want.

How much does he want for the 01?
