Calm down fellas, the readers for the 2011 trip have already been picked, so I've already missed that deadline. I'll have to look and see when I can submit the app for 2012.

And for the record, I'm 24. I always took the least amount of hours possible in school to stay a "full time student" so I could work as many hours as possible. That's why it took me so long to get through it.

As for following Wirsch's footsteps - I know he's happy with is lifestyle changes. That being said, we are two different people, with many common interests. He now pulls a stock sportsman with his stock ranger, and he loves it. I don't own one thing with wheels (yes, that includes bicycles and RC cars) that I haven't modified. I'll just leave it at that. We can discuss it further over a few beers next Friday.

I don't think I have anything that is 100% stock either, even my lawnmower.

On second thought, the Polaris might be, but I'll change that soon.

i do have to admit, i do own one stock thing. my old 70's snapper push mower. ive been wishing since day one that it would blow up so i would actually have a reason to buy a self propelled. yet every single fawking year it starts...sigh


i guess i need to turbo it or something.

Wheeled at the Cliffs in Marseilles, IL last weekend. It was pretty muddy as usual. Every time I go there I feel like I'm 'tippy toeing' around all the mud holes. haha. I have to go at least once a year though. Its a more 'local' park (~120 miles away).

No real good action pics, but I'll throw up some of what I took.

Saw these guys on the way there. Rolled behind em for a good 20 miles. I felt like a badass. haha.

Ran around with these guys for a while. Air shocks and 37" iroks.

Then we ran into this guy. Fawkin awesome rig. Tubed out yota on propane. Hi-9's front and rear. Coilovers at all 4 corners. 40's. Bulletproof. It was fun trying to follow him around.

I have a 4 day weekend coming up. I was thinking of another trip down to southern MO, but I think I'll take advantage of the time and finally build a front bumper. I hate feeling like a liability without a front tow point, and I need to mount my winch. Its been sitting in my room for waaay too long.

glad to finally see an update

I went to Greg's yesterday and swapped axles with Dustin's trailer, as well as had the spiders welded.....

so, until the axle swap is done I can at least play some more

if ya do plan to go anywhere wheeling any time soon, please post it up......a road trip wouldn't be a bad idea ( since my tent and sleeping bag are still in the cab of my Diesel )
