take it easy on me guys, ive been a 2.9 guy for years. i got my first 4.0 and will be swapping it into my daily driver this spring. i've been thinking, it would be cool to use a 2.9 intake on a 4.0, and since they are pretty colsely related it may not be as far fetched as it sounds. anybody have any input? i would either be using an 87 upper intake (58mm TB) or a merkur scorpio upper intake but the lower could be 4.0 if it fit. just thinking out loud, dont bash me too bad

i think your avatar is apropriate for this brain fart

i think the real question is: why would you want to fit an intake plenum designed to supply an engine with 37% less displacement?

i think performance could be a serious problem with this idea.

hey guys, just a thought. it was actually more along the lines of 'yeah, the truck still has a stock 2.9 in it!' like i said, just thinking out loud. ive got a couple 2.9 intakes that it looks like ill be selling...
