And that just might have to be my next vehicle (if I ever buy another gasser).

Holy crap guys. I've driven a few of the new 5.0 F-150s. They don't begin to stack up next to the 3.5 E-boost. The 5.0's have your typical V-8 get up and go, but the Eco-boost, you put your foot down, you hear the turbo's spool up, and then about a second later your ass is half a mile down the road and your pants are still back where you put your foot in it trying to catch up.

its fun eh! its even funner when its Ford allowing you to take it to WOT and test the speed limiter

Shouldn't be hard to hit. Those are limited to 120 just like every other newer Ford out there. I was hitting 70 without even trying. Maybe 3/8th's throttle from a dead stop had me to 70 in under 500 feet.

the limiter i had to hit was the MyKey one

Man, you get to do ALL the cool shit working there. BTW loved the obama comment on the other thread, I agree completely.

Have you ever heard one (from outside the truck) when someone is gunning it? They sound awesome, like a mini Powerstroke. The turbo sounds very impressive. And yeah, that thing can shit and get. I wouldn't mind one.

i wanna drive one...

If it was offered in a smaller body, standard tranny, barebones model, SOLD! Until then the newer F-150's are too big for me.

Yea, turbos are great for power. problem is the whistle and pop is addictive so the gas consumption goes down the toilet.

Pff, that's only 65 MPH, I can hit that going backwards.

every engine should have a trubo.

Agreed. VGT at that.

I understand. F-150s are an odd size for me. I love driving Rangers, I am comfortable driving F-250 to 450, but 150s just don't seem to fit in the lane for some reason.

These don't really have any whistle and pop. I could barely hear the turbos at first, until I was able to dial in on their sound after a few accelerations.

I drove one last month. Not that impressed with it....if it was in a Ranger....YES!!!! I drove three Raptors in the past 2 years and then after I drove my buddies 2 week old 2011 Raptor nothing compares!!! He let me take it out for about 2 hours with my wife. I want one but I am not willing to pay that huge price. I know 3 people who have the 3.5 eco-boost and they have had nothing but trouble with them. Thy have been in the dealer more then in their home garage. Fuel leaks, trans shifting issues and engine misses. Not a huge percentage of owners..but 3 of them?? I always say...never buy the first year vehicle....wait until crap gets sorted out and then buy the thing....lol

Off topic a little, but...

I emailed Ford about getting the 3.5L Ecoboost setup as a complete crate engine...not happening at the moment, and no plans of dong it. Now I need to find one in the junkyard...
