Comparing one deal to another like that makes no sense. Just because you got a good truck for 500 doesnt make this not a good deal. Go out and try to buy all the parts I listed in good shape for 300-350 (I'm assuming I'll get at least 150-200 at the scrappers for the body, so that would be the final cost).

I was trying to say there are better deals out there.
Oh, and I did buy all those parts in good order minus the trans, but I also got a skyjacker 6 inch lift kit, and brand new 35x12.5 Dean SXT MT's, for 500

Talk them down, I bet they'd take less

Nah, he's not getting money he put into the Exploder back out, he wants what he paid to have it towed back to his home after his son wrecked it, which is the 500. I even tried to see if he would part it out so I could just get what I wanted but he's sick of it sitting there so it's all or nothin.

and there really isn't sh*t worth of good deals around here that I've found =/

IMO, it's a buyers market in today's economy, just keep working on him, if he really want's it gone, he'll budge. But then again, if you think it's a good deal, jump on it

I'm just look at an opportunity to snag the parts in one swoop, but I'm deffintely gonna try and haggle when I have money in hand to approach him with.

Although it's gonna be difficult because he isn't hard up for money. lol
