My credo
Confused and Intolerant
Whats the reasonable hieght I can add to my 88 ext. 2wd?

I wanted a 2" front and back using lifting blocks from my 84 4x4, and some f-150 springs. Was also thinking exploder leafs to help with heavy loads.

Good, bad, or the right idea?

Also, shocks, what are cheap, but good (try me with some stock vehicle shocks from other fords that work well).

Your lift idea will work, you can use shocks from the truck that you take the springs off of.

Yep. I'm running F-150 shocks in mine, although I lifted with washers instead of F-150 coils.

can you do f150 shocks in back with f150 leafs? or is that the same as explorer stuff basically? or what?
