Ordered My Gasket Kit Finally

if they arent already included, headbolts

What exactly are you doing to the engine? That will help answer your question, but yeah, head bolts are a must. They are 100% non-reusable.

I just want it to be reliable no super mods.

Ok, let me re-phrase the question.

Why are you ordering a master gasket set? Does the engine leak like a sieve, or did it pop a head gasket?

I tore the engine down to the block to inspect it before i put it in my truck. I honed the cylinders and cleaned everything real good so I figured I'd give it a gasket kit.

Eristic Gaskets? I'm a 25 year parts jockey and have never heard of em. Since you didn't go with Fel Pro for what ever reason at least get OE, Fel Pro or ARP head bolts!

Just an observation, not to bitch.

Let us know how they go on and how well they work!
I love the cheapest stuff that works.

I think my truck is worth 750$... maybe, a gasget kit starts to look real spensive in that light.

I wouldn't have bought anything but Fel-Pro gaskets. I definitely wouldn't put those valve cover gaskets on there if they are cork. If you are in there already, I'd buy the Fel-Pro PermaDryPlus's.

If they are cork I'll go down to oriely and pick up some different ones.

Ok. I'd get rear main and front crank seals if they aren't in there already. Maybe an oil pump if you have the money. Might as well if you are already there. At least make sure to clean the pickup tube screen out really well.

I'm gonna get new seals should I do bearings???

Are you talking main bearings? I wouldn't touch those unless you plan on doing the entire motor, and having a machine shop tell you what you need.

Alright I'll skip the bearings. So it sounds like I need new head bolts, replace the cork gaskets, and main, front crank seals.
