Ok the time has come and i want to change out my plugs.Want opinions on best plug for performance, mileage increase, and life.Looking at E3,Pulstar,Autolite XP,or NGK iridium.Price is of no concern,i want to do this once and be set for quite some time. And my ranger only gets the best.

if you want the best, put exactly what ford designed to run in the engine in there, i've had good results with motorcraft and autolite coppers in my EX and b2

exactly what he said ^^^

the plugs with the 5 prongs, or 3 diodes and an extra book of matches to light more gas don't do shit except waste your money.

Nope!

No plug can be BETTER than the plug designed by Ford for your engine. If the plugs you have in there now are firing as they should, leave em alone! Plugs in your engine should last over 100,000 miles!
All you can do by changing plug brands is WORSE! Never better.. with luck you may find a plug that does as good as the factory plug... but why take a chance?

Well whats got me changing plugs is i have a slight miss and or stumble at idle, increase the RPMS a tad and it smooths right out.Its only at an idle that it stumbles a bit, almost not even noticable on the tach but when your sitting in the truck you can feel it in ur rump.....any suggestions??

Ive checked all visable vacuum lines for leaks and found nothing, and changed the fuel filter.

Them little misses at idle are almost always a small fault in the fuel delivery system... not the plugs or wires. Bad plugs show up under load first. The gap gets so wide the spark cannot jump it under a high load. Most times the plugs can be pulled and simply regapped to the correct opening and the missing will go away..

Any suggestions where to start in the fuel system?Ive changed the fuel filter, ran many bottles of different brand fuel cleaners(lucas and seafoam)and the problem still persists and is driving me nuts!!

I'd start by giving the iac a good cleaning.. Just might get her to a steady idle right there.
