I did this mod during the summer, and been meaning to post it up. for those wanting removable doors here u go. my rig has power door locks and windows, so i got 2 4 wire weather proof plugs and wired them into my windows/locks, the plugs were the same so i mounted them male and female on door side and male female on the other, so i could keep them in the right order

What about legality though, I know a guy in town that used to run without doors & the cops never bothered him... he told me as long as you have side mirrors mounted to the A-pillars it was cool.....:dntknw:

i didnt do the write up, sorry for sounding misleading. but i found it awhile back searching for something stupid and it popped up so i saved it and tried it. i did the mod and drove forever with no mirrors, but i plan on getting some jeep cj7 mirror(the harley style ones) with the quick disconect and mount it to my pillar or fender(u only need 1 outside mirror to be legal)

back in the summer before i painted the roof...and yes i need to paint my jambs. gonna do it this spring before it gets too hot. good thing the doors come off easy.
 
thats basically the way i do it.

well, my other hinges use standard pins and are bushed as i am in the salt belt.
 
this is f'in sweet man... i might do this.. even tho i'm thinking of making my cab have the jeep "lip" somehow...
 
Hell I don't keep a some light in mine bc we hang out in fields and stuff to much with doors open. I use my map lights on my over was console for lights.
 
I'v been wanting to do this for awhile. This finally motivated me enough to do it.

doors are useless, just leave 'em off!
 
marine audio equipment, rhino lined floors, off road whatproof seats... what's the point? lol

structural integrity maybe?

that and in some places it's against the law to not have anything to keep stuff from rolling out. i plan on takin mine off this summer though, i've been trying to find a way to make it work since i have power windows/locks
