Bronco II rated worst 4x4 of all time

The whole name "Petersen's" just implies to me that they are DICKS!:icon_rofl:
The B2 is one of my favorite of all time. Kiss my cock Petersen's!

I have a copy of Petersen's '4WHEEL & OFF-ROAD' and cannot find any article.
Off-road magazine must be another wanna be rag. Agustin Jimenez writes for Off-road-

Here is the exact wording in the article for the CJ5:

"The Jeep CJ5 is probably one of the worst Jeeps to drive, because nobody over 5 feet tall can ride in it comfortably. None of the tubs were galvanized like the Wrangler, so solid rust-free body panels are almost nonexistent. The model 20 rear differential came with the dreaded two-piece axle-shafts that break if you even think about venturing out in the dirt. Most CJ5's leak oil from the Dana 300 transfer case unless, of course, they're out of oil. The 4.2L straight-six was good, reliable engine unlike the underpowered 304 V-8 that came in some CJ5s. Although very capable off road, the CJ5's short leaf sprung wheelbase make for white-knuckle driving at highway speeds. When you pair that with the interior room of a glove box, it's not a Jeep we would ever want."

Oh, and the writer of the article is Agustin Jimenez if ya want to send him a thank you note!

how do you say it's the 2nd worst 4x4 of all time, and in the same paragraph, say it's very capable off road... ****ing retards!

i wanna go find a cj5 now, just to prove that someone larger than 5' can sit in it comfortably...

hell, i'm 6'2" and the ranger is uncomfortable depending on the seat position, if it's not reclined all gangsta, my head hits the ceiling... my seat is all the way back, and at almost a 45* angle, but it's almost perfect there... though when i look to the left, all i see is the plastic between the front and rear windows

Dunno about a CJ5, but at 6'-3" a CJ-2A feels like a go-cart. They were basically made out of leftover WWII MB parts.

They are a cute little bugger though, and it would be hard to fault a war hero because of legroom.

The Bronco IIs are definately among the worst 4x4 of all time.....no doubt about it. But any Suzuki car/suv are the biggest POS off any kind since I can remember.

The front suspensions are stronger than most, and a D35 is a stupid simple upgrade. Much simpler fix than just about any modern 4wd vehicle with a traditional A-arm suspension that takes a multimillion dollar lift to upgrade.

IMO provided you have a decent running 20-30 year old engine your durability problems are over with that simple swap.

They are the worst, no one should drive one. Everyone who owns one should bring them to my house by the end of the week and leave the title. I'll be sure nobody other then me, has to suffer the shame of owning the worst 4x4 ever. :D

hahaha good luck snoranger.. its not happening. i might drop mine off for about $15,000 and yes, i mean 15k not 1500 lol

:annoyed:

Bronco are no where near the worst 4x4 ever. If I had to pick one from what I've seen is a geo tracker for sure.

I've had one of those too! and for the record, it was pretty damn decent off road! :icon_thumby:

Actually there wasn't a "Best" list. They rated the 3 worst by their stock set ups. They knocked the 28 ttb, the weak in all aspects 2.8 carb engine and the lack of sleeping area? :icon_rofl:

I didn't get a Ranger ext cab this year cause I wanted somewhere to take a nap!

lol id like to see another motor that holds up to more sh** then my 2.8 sure a carb is not the best for up and down hill off roading but thats why holly makes a truck avenger carb. and id like to see a stronger suspension for jumping or pounding thu the woods then the ttb. a stock yota ifs would have exploded to bits after the jumps and bumps ive hit lol

in 84 when the b2 gets d28 ttb-- the 4runner got they yota solid front axle.

that's not fair to the ford by any means... lol. i did think about finding a way to put yota axles under mine for awhile..

Hard to beat a TIB/TTB for jumping though.

yeah but i don't go around jumping mine over hills and stuff! lol
