What do you guys think about a 99 ford explorer?? Some guy is wanting me to trade my 04 ford ranger 2.3 5 speed for it.

Is it worth going through the trouble of switching your clutch fan to electric fan on a 04 2.3 ranger if so how big of a difference does it make?

I have an 04 Ranger 2.3 it starts but dies after just a few seconds, I can start it and it will run if the gas pedal is to the floor but it revs between 1,000 and 2,000 rpms like it's a rev limiter, but as soon as you let out on gas, it dies... what could this be??
