i have a 1999 ranger 4x4 and right under there is a slot for a key.... its to uncover some thing that you spin and it releases the spare tire..... well i dont have that key... so what should i do??? drill out??? or what???

99 3.0 liter! up hill and sometimes even on the interstate it has been knocking alot!!! always at highspeeds though... never taking off or on a trail. im only 17 and i was just wondering whats going on or what i can to do get things back in order! thanks
