Anyone know why the Ranger 2.3 uses a clutch fan and not electric like most vehicle's do?- rob99

Fuel pump life cycle
I realize this isn't a scientific question, but how long can/should the original pump last, I have a '02 with approx 107,000 on the original pump, for those that have had it replaced what miles? Does it just quit and leave you stranded or are there warning signs? Thanks, Rob.- rob99
