i believe the 31 spline 8.8 is a better axle than a 9in is. any other ranger or explorer should be a bolt in swap.

my tj coils were thinner (10 percent or so vs the xj coils) and collapsed on me a tad,maybe try oem tj coils? stock vs stock they are between 1 and 2 inches shorter than xj springs and more flexy. used ones will be shorter due to the same collapse i had ,and might be perfect.i trashed mine...

need a trans with a low first gear. saw pinto engines adapted to early willys with t90 trans w d20 xfer case.same engine family as the 2300cc right? novak makes an adapter for the t90/d20/pinto engine,i would like to know if this can go to the 2300cc "modern" engines?or even the 2500cc as well.i...

i am a jeep nut at heart.but give ford it's due--some parts of the rangers are very stout.i like the jeeps for the awesome and huge aftermarket support. so what do you guys all see as the ranger's strengths? i see engine selection--is broad rear axle is near bombproof.explorer even better ranger...

we are making a 2wd into a 4x4 ruggy? rubiger? rangicon? LOL we have-- HP d30 on leafs for the front OX locker for the d30 8.8 out back jeep rubicon Moab wheels and MTR's for rubber rear is lifted 12 inches(between tires,springs and lifted spring hangers) body lift is coming 1 inch pucks home...
