    Thanks. If you look a few responses back you will see the results of my dry test. The wet test showed a slight improvement in cylinder 6, but nothing significant

    Update: My last mechanic said he had both heads sent to be machined in 2018. He doesn't think it's the valves, he said it's probably the rings or hydraulic lifters. Does this sound accurate?

    Wet test on # 6 came back with 115. I immediately tested again and got 110.

    Based on the 15% rule, I believe 119psi is the lowest a cylinder can be at. Should I wet test the other low readings? In other words, wet test cyl 3 thru 6?

    One more thing, Haynes book says that as long as the compression is at 100 minimum I should be good. This really threw me off...

    My compression test numbers were taken while the intake plenum was off... Not sure if that matters or not. Engine was cold too

    I'll do that, and come back with better results. I guess I was hoping for a quick fix :)
