Will a 3.0 bellhousing from a '91 or '92 ranger with the better 5 speed bolt up to the old weak 5 speed in an '87 ranger 2.9 5 speed? Or what would it take to put a manual transfer case from the '87 behind the 5 spd from the 3.0?

I have an 87 ranger 4x4 , and a 91 ranger 2x4. is it possible to put the ttb axle under the twin I beam frame? Is it a bolt in, or are the frames too different? Should I convert the 91, or swap the cab and engine to the 87? any advice would be appreciated.
